Raíces (1993) is a meditation on origin, continuity, and the invisible forces that bind the self to memory, ancestry, and place. The title evokes not only the biological root, but also the deeper psychic and spiritual structures from which identity grows. Rather than describing roots in a literal sense, the painting seems to contemplate what sustains life beneath the surface: the unseen networks of belonging, inheritance, and inner grounding that shape human presence over time.

The composition feels anchored yet inwardly expansive, as though it were drawing strength from depths that cannot be fully seen. El título evoca no solo la raíz biológica, sino también las estructuras psíquicas y espirituales más profundas de las que brota la identidad. Más que representar las raíces en sentido literal, la pintura parece contemplar aquello que sostiene la vida bajo la superficie: las redes invisibles de pertenencia, transmisión y arraigo interior que modelan la presencia humana a lo largo del tiempo.
